Beginners Knitting Class with Robin Henne of Wandering Woolies

Time & Location
Feb 13, 2022, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Gorham, 32 Exchange St, Gorham, NH 03581, USA
About the Event
Students will learn to cast on and knit a short garter stitch (all knit stitches) strip, then bind off and sew ends together to make a cowl. Following this, they will learn circular knitting by making a roll-brim cap on a circular knitting needle and double-point needles,
Students will need about 400 yards of worsted weight yarn, a 16-inch size 7 circular needle, and size 7 double-point needles. Novelty yarns, such as eyelash, are not suitable for beginners, while solid-colored, multi-colored or tweed yarns will give good results. (Also, beginners, especially children, may find it easier to use bulky yarn and size 10 needles.)
Knitters will need to work on their projects between classes, to be ready for new skills in the next class.
4 2-hour classes
Student cost: $40 per person
