This 3 session class will introduce you to knitting Fair Isle style. Knitters will knit a simple hat pattern in the round, while learning to read a chart and do stranded knitting. The pattern to be used is the Laurelhurst Fair Isle hat, a free pattern on It uses a background color and one contrasting color, which could be a multicolored or variegated yarn if you like.

Knitters must know how to knit and purl. It would help to have a least a little experience knitting in the round. Anyone who would like assistance in selecting materials and tools for this project can contact Robin at
