Let’s Learn to Knit! 3 Class Series
Beginner knitting with Robin Henne: you will learn the basics of knitting and learn to make both a scarf/cowl and a hat!

About the Event
In his 3 week course students will learn to cast on and knit a garter stitch ( all knitt stitches) scarf and bind off. The scarf will be short so that the ends can be sew together to make a cowl. Or if desired, you can learn to make very simple button holes and sew on decorative buttons to make a cowl.
The second project you will learn circular knitting and will make a knit roll brim cap. On circular needs and double pointed needles. If preferred, you can learn the purl stitch and make a ribbed brim.
In order to complete both projects, students should be willing to work on projects between classes.
Materials
400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Solid , multi colored, and tweed yarns will give the best results. Black and very dark colors may be more difficult to see individual stitches in anything other than bright lights.
Tools
- 16 inch size 7 circular needles
- A set of 5 size 7 double pointed needles.
